Sex Therapy in California, Colorado, Florida & Maine

Online sex therapy for individuals and couples navigating intimacy challenges, desire discrepancies, sexual shame, and disconnection.

Healing intimacy begins with safety — in your body, your relationships, and your sense of self.

Sex therapy offers a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to explore the emotional, relational, and nervous-system factors that may be impacting intimacy, pleasure, desire, arousal, or sexual connection.

Whether you’re experiencing low desire, mismatched libido, pain during sex, sexual shame, performance anxiety, or emotional disconnection from yourself or your partner, therapy can help you better understand the patterns shaping your sexual and relational experiences.

At Mindful Desire, sex therapy integrates mindfulness, somatic therapy, attachment theory, and trauma-informed care to help you build greater safety, self-understanding, erotic connection, and comfort within your body and relationships.

My Approach to Sex Therapy

As an AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist, I provide trauma-informed sex therapy for individuals and couples navigating intimacy concerns, desire discrepancies, sexual shame, performance anxiety, and emotional disconnection.

  • Mindfulness and Somatic Awareness — to reconnect you with the sensations and signals of your body.

  • Attachment Theory and Polyvagal-Informed Practices — to help your nervous system feel safe in intimacy.

  • Psychosexual Education and Empowerment — to replace shame with knowledge, curiosity, and choice.

  • Relational Therapy (EFT, PACT, IFS-informed) — to explore how past experiences shape present connection and desire.

Together, we move beyond “fixing” sexual problems — toward cultivating safety, confidence, and authentic pleasure in your relationship with yourself and others.

How Sex Therapy Can Help

I support individuals and couples navigating:

  • Desire Discrepancy & Mismatched Libido
Support for individuals and couples navigating differences in desire, initiation patterns, sexual frequency, and the emotional impact that sexual disconnection can have on relationships.

  • Painful Sex & Sexual Functioning Concerns
Compassionate, trauma-informed support for vaginismus, vulvodynia, pelvic pain, erectile difficulties, painful intercourse, and other concerns impacting comfort, pleasure, confidence, and intimacy.

  • Arousal, Pleasure & Orgasm Difficulties
Support for challenges related to arousal, orgasm, pleasure, sensation, or presence through mindfulness, somatic awareness, education, and nervous-system informed care.

  • Low Libido & Changes in Sexual Desire
Exploring how stress, burnout, trauma, hormonal changes, relationship dynamics, anxiety, identity, or life transitions can influence desire, erotic connection, and your relationship with sexuality over time.

  • Sexual Shame, Anxiety & Performance Concerns
Working through sexual shame, performance anxiety, self-consciousness, trauma, or internalized messages that may interfere with pleasure, arousal, confidence, intimacy, or authentic sexual expression.

  • Sexual Identity, Orientation & Expression
A supportive and affirming space to explore questions related to sexuality, gender, identity, embodiment, intimacy, and authentic self-expression across diverse lived experiences.

Inclusive, Affirming Care

 Sexuality is beautifully diverse.

My practice is LGBTQIA+, kink, and polyamory-affirming, and honors each person’s unique identity, culture, and lived experience.
