Yes! I offer a complimentary 30-minute consultation so we can connect, explore your goals, and make sure it feels like the right fit before scheduling a full session. You can book directly through my secure client portal or email me at info@mindfuldesire.com.

Sex therapy is a specialized form of psychotherapy that helps individuals and couples explore concerns related to sexuality, intimacy, and connection in a safe, nonjudgmental, and confidential space.

Unlike medical treatments, sex therapy focuses on the emotional, psychological, and relational aspects of sexual wellbeing. Sessions may address challenges such as desire differences, sexual pain, arousal or orgasm difficulties, erectile issues, changes in libido, sexual anxiety, or the impact of trauma or shame on sexual identity and expression.

In our work together, we don’t focus on “performance” or quick fixes — instead, we explore the deeper patterns that shape your relationship with pleasure, safety, and intimacy. Through mindfulness, education, and somatic awareness, sex therapy helps you reconnect with your body, your desires, and your natural capacity for connection.

As an AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist, I integrate evidence-based interventions with a trauma-informed, attachment, and mindfulness lens. My goal is to support healing that is not only sexual, but emotional and relational — honoring all identities, orientations, and relationship structures.

Not at all. Sex therapy is much broader than "fixing" a problem.

Many clients seek sex therapy to:

  • Enhance Intimacy: Deepening the emotional and physical connection in long-term relationships.
  • Navigate Transitions:  Adapting to changes in intimacy after having children, during perimenopause and menopause, or following a health diagnosis.
  • Explore Identity: Gaining a deeper understanding of one's own desires, boundaries, and sexual self in a shame-free environment.
  • Improve Communication: Learning how to talk about needs and desires comfortably and clearly with a partner.

Ultimately, sex therapy is about wellness. You don't need a "diagnosis" to want a more vibrant, connected, and authentic intimate life.

I am currently out-of-network with insurance companies. However, I can provide superbills (a detailed receipt of services) that you may submit for reimbursement depending on your plan. I recommend checking with your insurance provider for out-of-network benefits.

I currently offer online sessions for clients in California, Colorado and Florida. Sessions take place on a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, so you can connect from the comfort of your own space.

I plan to offer hybrid (online + in-person) options in the future — stay tuned for updates.

Yes. My practice is affirming, inclusive, and culturally responsive. You’re welcome exactly as you are.

Our first session is about getting to know you—what’s been feeling difficult, what you’d like to change, and what matters most to you. Together, we’ll begin clarifying your goals and creating a space that feels safe, grounded, and supportive of your growth.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes, but you do have the option to book extended 80-min or 110-min sessions for additional fee.

My email system is HIPAA-compliant and encrypted to protect your privacy. However, please note that messages you send from your own email account may not be secure on your end. For sensitive information or scheduling, it’s best to use the secure client portal.

I understand that life happens and schedules change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so at least 48 hours in advance.

To honor your time and mine, sessions canceled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice are billed at the full fee, except for emergencies or protected reasons under state law.

Yes. I offer nonjudgmental support for ENM/polyamory, including boundaries, communication, navigating jealousy, and attachment repair.  We’ll honor your values and agreements, focusing on what creates safety for your specific relationship model rather than imposing an outside standard.

If you are in crisis or experiencing an emergency, please call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.
